Each sailing features a Distinctive Voyages Host, an exclusive shore event, and a welcome cocktail reception.

You will receive a welcome letter in your cabin from your Distinctive Voyages Host on the day you arrive, and will be able to contact them with any questions or special requests. All hosts go through an extensive interview and training process to exceed your expectations with their customer service skills, experience hosting luxury travel guests, and knowledge of the supplier and the destination(s).
While enjoying cocktails and appetizers during the private welcome reception, you can get to know the other passengers in the Distinctive Voyages group. During the reception, the Host will provide the details of the exclusive shore event as well as be available to answer any questions you may have.
Whether it’s a private wine-tasting event with a seasoned sommelier at Heidelberg Castle in Germany, a gala concert and gourmet dinner at the Last Palace in St. Petersburg, or sampling Limoncello while learning how to make mozzarella in Sorrento, you will return from the exclusive shore event anxious to share stories about your unique experiences.
In some cases, you can discover a new level of luxury on a Distinctive Voyages sailing. Further enrich your vacation experience with a choice of a Private Car and Driver Tour! On select sailings, you can choose one of three options:
- A private car and driver tour that is guided in select ports;
- A private car and driver as you wish, in select ports;
- Shipboard credit of US$200 per person.

And on sailings of 14 nights or longer with select cruise lines, you can even benefit from a fourth amenity! This new feature is designed to further enrich your luxury cruise experience across six luxury cruise lines. When travelling with Azamara Club Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, or Silversea Cruises, you could enjoy one of the following:
- A private wine tasting event;
- A private wine pairing with a sommelier;
- A private fireside chat with an onboard lecturer;
- Additional in-room amenities, such as flowers with chocolate;
- US$100 shipboard credit.
Each participating cruise line has a minimum number of passengers required per sailing. If the minimum threshold is not met, the welcome reception and exclusive shore event are guaranteed.
